We are re advertising as our chosen sitter is no longer able to travel to Australia. If you applied previously we would be happy to hear from you again. Our main requirement is someone who will love and look after the dogs and cat.
I am looking for a single, mature woman or couple to house sit and mind three lovable pets for approximately 6 weeks from late July to early September Accommodation is available for two weeks prior to and after the required sitting date to allow the sitter to settle in and give a bit of flexibility when they move on. The house is a fairly large three bedroom new home on half an acre in Meredith a lovely quiet, safe country town about 25 minutes from Ballarat and Geelong and about 75 minutes from Melbourne CBD. The pets are the main consideration and require some special attention. Lucy is a 16 year old poodle/australian terrier cross and is gentle and getting a little slow with age. Her main requirement is that she sleep on the end of the bed and have a lot of company. She loves going in the car. Augie (short for Augusta) is my 6 year old golden retriever. She is gorgeous and is very well behaved and wonderful with dogs and children. She likes to sleep on the floor in the bedroom. Kitty Witty is our newest recruit and is 12 months old. She is a playful, easy going cat. The animals would be fine with a sitters quiet, desexed dog. The property is completely fenced and safe for visiting dogs. Watering pot plants and mowing the lawn would also be required. We have lovely neighbours, friendly locals and nearby adult children if there are any unexpected problems. Please note the required dates are August 3 to September 10 but staying either end of that period is welcome also. Meredith is a small country town on the Midland Highway. It has two pubs, several churches, a golf course, lovely walks nearby and is close to many other attractions.
