Must have experience with wood heat and be willing to be here at least once every twelve hours to load wood furnace as it is the only source of heat. We have three cats, houseplants, and a 12 x 24' greenhouse that will need to be taken care of - the plants need only minimal watering and the cats get fed once a day. You will need 4WD to leave if the weather dictates as we're on a dirt road in the mountains. We're not near any public transportation. We are located near many hiking trails, a 1/4 mile walk to a semi-private spring-fed lake, near many historical landmarks, only a one and a half hour drive from D.C., and a few miles from the Shenandoah River in a relaxed, artsy, sanctuary type home (a 900 sq. ft. A-frame). Nonsmokers only. We have a library approaching about 1,500 books ranging the gamut from spirituality to natural history; unlimited, high-speed internet; no t.v. (except for watching movies, DVD or VHS); a great stereo; and a cat door - the greenhouse is attached to the house. It is very peaceful and quiet here in the winter.
