I seek someone mature, tidy, responsible and quiet to house and pet sit for three to six month intervals while I travel for work. The two dogs, one medium-sized and one large, are not accustomed to long periods of time alone so this position is ideal for someone who works at home, a writer for instance who is looking for a peaceful place to work. The dogs require a walk around the neighbourhood every morning rain or shine. When I return to Vancouver from overseas, where I may stay for one to two months, I am unable to accommodate the housesitter at the house so it is essential that the sitter has other housing options during these times. The house is compact. There is an established garden which requires upkeep such as periodic grass cutting and watering. It is located in the Main Street Cambie corridor of Vancouver, closer to Main Street. All amenities are available on Main Street within easy walking distance. The first house sit period is from mid-June to mid-August , and a two week period in Sept Beginning end of November 2007, I am away for up to six months at a time.
