We need a housesitter for just a few days from Monday, March 19 to Thursday, March 22. Longer trips are planned for the upcoming year.
The person we're looking for must be experienced with tiny dogs, as we have a Chihuahua and a Papillon who need careful supervision. The dogs will be confined to a kitchen/sunroom area with their own doggy door into a small potty yard, so no walks are necessary. Safety is paramount -- you must be the kind of detail-oriented person who doublechecks and triplechecks that doors are closed, and that gates are latched.
We have a beautiful home in the unique village of Yellow Springs, Ohio. With a population of 4,000 people, a thriving downtown filled with eclectic shops and art galleries, a first-class art-film movie theater, an international chamber music series, miles and miles of paved biking trails, the 1000-acre Glen Helen Nature Reserve, and the limestone gorges of John Bryan State Park, Yellow Springs is considered one of the most desirable villages to live in within southwestern Ohio.
Our home is right in the village. We have four bedrooms and two baths. Huge windows in the downstairs Sun Room and upstairs Great Room overlook our 10,000-gallon pond and gardens. We have big-screen TV, an entertainment center with all the bells and whistles, and high-speed wireless Internet.
