Hi there, We are looking for someone to housesit our home and our lovely pups and cat in from the 18th of June to the 10/11th of July We live in St Kilda, Dunedin, New Zealand, which is a great area and only a few blocks to the beaches. Only a five minute drive into the centre of Dunedin and many local attractions right nearby, restaurants, supermarkets, fast food etc! The house is very comfortable and easy to take care of. Recently renovated with three bedrooms a nice kitchen and lounge and new bathroom. Not much maintenance required though there is a well fenced lawn and nice outdoor area. As it will be winter we don't expect anything done to the lawns. We would prefer a couple as there are two medium sized dogs but a single person who is very experienced with dogs would also be fine. Fraser is a Beardie/lab and will be six and a half. Lily is a Retriever/lab and will be six. They are very sweet loving dogs but have heaps of energy and need exercise every day. Though they do entertain each other very well so missing a day isn't a problem (especially due to weather). We have a well fenced, large yard where they stay during the day and are fine on their own all day. If you do happen to spend time at home during the day then Fraser would love to stay with you while Lily prefers being outside for most of the time. They are indoor dogs at night but have their own room so when you go to bed so do they, in fact if you are staying up late you may find they have already gone to bed! Sam is our black and white cat who is about a year and a half old. Mainly an indoor cat as we have lost two cats to cars in the last few years. He is allowed out for the toilet morning and night but must stay indoors at night. He is very sweet and loves people and the dogs. We are more interested in someone who is great with dogs than necessarily keeping the house spotless. We would prefer a couple or pair as it is much easier to walk them etc when there are two people. Though they do walk very well on the lead together, we have just found that it's much easier if we each take one dog. I look forward to hearing from anyone interested! We have had a number of housesitters over the years and find this arrangement works very well! There may also be the opportunity to do part or all of the housesit at my parent's house in Queenstown.
