We typically travel quite a bit. We're in a new home in a part of Montana where we haven't lived before. We're interested in talking with people who could perhaps cover one of our longer trips (2-6 weeks), as well as people who have flexibility and live in the region who could handle shorter trips. We don't have a trip planned yet, but hope to be traveling some this spring and summer.
We're looking for a clean, reliable, non-smoking person or couple with excellent references to care for our home and Rosie, our Bassett Hound. We live minutes from downtown Bozeman, Montana in a gorgeous house with privacy, fantastic views, wildlife visitors, and easy Forest Service access for daily walks with Rosie.
The house is fully equipped with satellite TV, high-speed Internet access (bring your own laptop, although we may have an extra for you to use), hot tub, and the usual items needed for daily life (towels, linens, kitchenware, etc.). House care requirements are minimal, mostly centering around keeping the house clean and maintaining the hot tub.
Rosie requires (and demands) daily walks, food preparation, and a weekly ear cleaning (which is not difficult).
We'd like our housesitter to have the ability to spend lots of time with Rosie. My husband and I both work from home, so she's used to regular companionship.
During the winter, spring, and late fall, you'll need to have an all-wheel-drive or 4-wheel-drive vehicle. The road and driveway are well-maintained, but you'll want to be assured (as will we!) that you can get in and out in any weather.
The Bozeman area is a recreationist's paradise with plenty of skiing, hiking, mountain biking, scenery, wildlife, and fishing to keep you happily occupied. Rosie would love to go hiking with you. Downtown Bozeman is just down the hill, and Livingston is hour drive east. Yellowstone National Park is close by, too.
