Sorry if you have been contacted recently but the couples who had committed to coming had to pull out unexpectedly - one due to unforeseen medical problems and the other to being called for Jury Duty– most disappointing for us all.
This is a paid position. As from the end of December our workman is retiring and we will be looking for a farm hand/worker for an indefinite period of time (could be a few months, possibly longer) – while my husband works out just what he plans to do. Even if you can only help for 6 months that would be greatly appreciated. We need someone with, preferably, Broad acre farming experience – used to handling large machinery etc. We farm around 6000 acres, run approximately 3 thousand sheep (mainly Prime Lamb breeding, some Dorset Stud), crop around 2 thousand acres with mainly Wheat – some Canola, plus Oats and Barley for Hay and sheep feed. We live 100 mile East of Perth, a 2 hour drive, 20 mile East of Brookton in Western Australia. It would be good if anyone interested could arrive from mid-November on, so as to get the feel of the place before Terry retires.
There is a well cared for 4 bedroom house with lawns and garden to move into.
Looking forward to hearing from you – yours sincerely – Glennis Mills. MB:
