We are former university professors (one with roots in Canada, the other in the U.S.) who enjoy excellent health and buoyant spirits. As non-smokers and non-drinkers, we won't be partying into the night! Since we're both fastidious housekeepers, you might find your home in better shape than when you left it!
We're experienced gardeners, avid cat lovers, and great admirers of dogs and horses of all breeds. Actually, we also enjoy fish, birds, poultry and farm animals generally.
Immersing ourselves in other cultures has become a first love. Whenever we encounter other outlooks on life it gives us a lift, a sense of the excitement of life. I'm trying to think of a country we wouldn't want to visit, but since my friend's command of Spanish isn't very brave and my French is even more cowardly, maybe we should think in terms of home owners who also speak English.
We both have a long list of writing projects that range from non-fiction self-help to historical fiction (with cozy mystery novels and family memoirs thrown in there somewhere). The chance to visit your country and complete a few more hundred thousand words there would be a sincere pleasure.
